- Eight offences relating to conditions found at Fudex Supermarket, 11 Charles Road, Birmingham. Seven packets of cheese were on display for sale passed their use by dates. The premises was not kept clean. There was an accumulation of dirt and grease on the staff toilet door on both sides. The worktop below the bandsaw and the butchers block could not be effectively cleaned. Raw materials and ingredients were not kept in appropriate conditions, raw meat carcasses were hanging directly above and adjacent/touching ready to eat vegetables in the walk in chiller. There was no supply of hot and cold running water and materials for cleaning and hygienically drying hands to the wash basin in the butcher unit. There were no procedures based on HACCP and food handlers were not supervised, instructed or trained in food hygiene matters. The business had been trading for two years without registering with the Local Authority.
