- Found guilty in their absence of nine offences relating to conditions at Hey Sugar/Wah Kee Bakery, B103 The Arcadian, 70 Hurst Street, Birmingham on two separate occasions. The premises was not kept clean and there were inadequate procedures in place to control pests. Mouse droppings were found throughout the premises. Food was not protected from contamination, in that open flour was found on the stairs. The hand wash basin had been removed from the production kitchen and the hand basin in the toilet did not have means of drying hands. Chopping boards were mouldy/scored and non-food grade plastic buckets were in use. There were no procedures in place based on HACCP. Two bottles of milk were found on display two days passed their use by date.
