- The main responsibilities of a Governor
- As part of a team: Setting the strategic direction of the school; •Holding the leadership to account for the performance of the school; •Making sure that resources are used well and that money is well spent.
- Requirements

To be a community governor you should have:
• A strong commitment to the role and to improving outcomes for children.
• Good inter-personal skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Knowledge of management, or business, or a passion for the arts will greatly improve the effectiveness of our governing board and have a positive impact on our pupils’ education. - Day and times of most meetings

The governing board meets at least once a term for a full day which is usually a Wednesday.
- The time commitment
- Approximately 10 days per year spent attending meetings, visiting the school from time-to-time and undertaking relevant training.
