About the park

For those with a passion for football this state-of-the art site is an ideal location. A £750,000 project – backed by a Football Foundation grant – has seen the public open space at Wishaw Lane transformed into a first-class community sports facility.

It now consists of 4 full-sized football pitches and 2 five-a-side pitches, making it a great venue for everything from 11-a-side matches through to junior games and practice sessions.

There is also a newly-built pavilion and club house with changing rooms and refreshment facilities.

The site is run by and home to Sportsco FC, an expanding community football club with teams of all ages participating in the Central Warwickshire Youth League, Tamworth League and Lichfield and District Recreational League.

Pitches can be booked on a pay and play basis. Sportsco also run a number of coaching and taster sessions, as well as a mini league, which are available to young girls and boys. For more details, visit Sportsco FC's website.
