Part of an extended green site situated just four miles from Birmingham city centre.
The recreation ground takes its name from a 16th century fulling mill.
The River Rae runs along the eastern boundary.

- A project to grow fruit and nuts is underway, with the aim of establishing and caring for a community orchard
