St Chad’s Cathedral

St Chad’s Cathedral

The Cathedral has a charity, St Chad’s Sanctuary which is a place of welcome for asylum seekers and refugees in the heart of Birmingham. People are able to access practical support, English classes and signposting to services.

The Society of St Vincent de Paul also operate from St Chad's Cathedral. The organisation offers practical and emotional support to anyone experiencing poverty in England and Wales or overseas at any point before, during or after a crisis.

St Chad's Cathedral is the Diocesan Mother Church of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham and also a parish church in its own right.

In addition to St Chad’s, The Archdiocese of Birmingham has a network of 217 parishes across its area. Many are offering help and assistance to parishioners and the wider community through a variety of activities and services.
