Newbigin Community Trust is an asset-based organisation in Winson Green seeking to provide a place of welcome, inclusion, and social cohesion for the local community.
Newbigin's main site at Lodge Road Community Church is open throughout the week to everyone. It provides a warm place to visit, sit and have a hot drink. There is also a subsidised cafe serving hot meals and cold snacks at low prices.
Anyone struggling with the costs of heating their home is welcome to come to the church to get warm and talk to a friendly face.
Newbigin has advocates and support workers on site to support with benefits advice, letters, paperwork, and signposting to services.
The trust receives a food donation from the Real Junk Food Project each Thursday.
