  • Early 20th century family and social history research – the 1920s & 1930s, an era of defining events that would change the course of many families for decades to come, leading up to the 1921 Census which was released in January 2022
  • Child migration – not one of our better decisions! This talk looks at the long history of British child emigration schemes up to 1967 when some 150,000 children were sent overseas to settle and grow up in British colonies and dominions
  • Family Search – a review of the largest free genealogy organization in the world, the Church of Latter-day Saints (Mormons), with information on how to research their excellent global genealogical records for family historians
  • Genetic Genealogy – understanding DNA testing – a talk on understanding your DNA test results, finding your family matches, you’re ethnicity with a review of the current market if you haven’t taken a test and are undecided

PowerPoint presentations suitable for groups such as U3As, Family History Societies, WI, TWG and Probus.

Each talk is approximately 45 to 60 minutes long with opportunities to ask questions.
