Ambassador bridge

Detroit to windsor ambassador bridge postcard

Detroit to Windsor.

This is a very busy crossing between the United States of America and Canada. There is a tunnel for buses and cars which was completed in 1930. The bridge itself is the busiest border crossing between the two countries and opened in 1929.

This postcard was sent in December 1938 by a Roy Bliss of Holt, Michigan to Elwin W Benton of Cortland, New York State.

He wrote "Thanks for the old landmark, it is a good one. Sorry I could not answer before. Will be more prompt next time.", which suggests that the two men were sending postcards to each other for collecting.
