The Symphony Hall is a 2,262 seat concert venue situated on Broad Street. It opened in April 1991 and was officially opened by the Queen in June 1991. The interior of the hall is modelled upon the Musikverein in Vienna and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The hall was built with a classical audience in mind and still hosts many classical concerts.

Over recent years it has opened its doors to the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant, Yes, Squeeze, Richard Thompson, The Waterboys and Joan Armatrading.
