This Harborne pub is still open as a popular Harborne pub. In the past, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, the upstairs room hosted many gigs. Chart star David Gray once played here, as did Canadian folk-rock band Spirit Of The West (the gig was also broadcast on BBC Radio) and also many local acts ranging from blues to acoustic based music.
By the early 2000s it had ceased to be a live music venue.
