Alexander Stadium now offers two world class athletics tracks. The main stadium athletics track is now open and available to use and offers 9-lane international category A facilities. The Community Track offers 6-lanes and separate dedicated athletics throws field.

About

The Alexander Stadium is a world-class standard international athletics venue located within Perry Park to the north of Birmingham, with close links to the M6 and the A34 interchange. The stadium has been host to major events such as the Diamond League and the British Championships and has recently hosted the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the athletics competition.

Following a £72m capital redevelopment programme in advance of the Games, Alexander Stadium now offers a permanent capacity of 17,250. It includes a range of modern conference, meeting and event spaces to support any type and size of event at the venue.

Alexander Stadium also has a long-standing history and partnership with the world-famous Birchfield Harriers Athletics Club, who are based at the venue. Birchfield Harriers offer training and competition opportunities for everyone from aged 9 years and over through its club membership. Gym:
Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 9:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am to 5:00pm

High Performance Centre:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 9:00pm (subject to private hire bookings)
Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am to 4:00pm (subject to private hire bookings)

All HPC sessions must be pre-booked via telephone
