This form is for parents or carers who want to apply for a spare seat on school transport.

Who can apply
You can apply if your child:
- does not receive free or discounted travel
- attends a school, college or other education setting in Birmingham
- lives in Birmingham, within 15 miles of the setting
All of these must be true.
Spare seats are only offered if there is space on an existing minibus route. We will check availability after you apply.
If a personal travel budget (PTB), bus pass or other travel help has been accepted, the family cannot also apply for a spare seat and get the budget. You can only get one type of travel help.
What you need
To complete this form, you will need:
- your contact details
- your child’s details, including the name and address of their school, college or other educational setting
- information about siblings attending the same setting
- details about any mobility or travel support needs
What happens next
We will review your application and let you know if a spare seat is available.
If a seat can be offered, we will send you the payment details and a start date.
