St Agnes Conservation Area

St Agnus Conservation Area in Moseley was designated in 1987 and extended in 2009.

It contains many substantial residences built in a variety of architectural styles. The large gardens and mature trees of these houses are a particularly attractive feature and St Agnus Church provides a focal point to the area.

In 2010 we restricted the type of work often permitted without planning permission to retain the character further. This is known as an Article 4 Direction. It means that planning permission is required from us to, for example, erect a wall or fence, extension or porch, etc.

A map showing the boundary of the conservation area is below, along with the original designation report, details of the Article 4 Direction and an information leaflet for the area. The 2009 Newsletter provides details of the extension to the conservation area.
