After sunset on Sunday 22 June 2025 the exterior façade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up in a Waves pattern in support of the 77th anniversary of the first arrival of HMT Windrush.
After sunset on Saturday 28 June 2025, the exterior façade on the Library of Birmingham will be lit up red, white and blue in honour of Armed Forces Day 2025.
After sunset on Thursday 19 June 2025 the exterior façade of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up light blue in support of Clean Air Day 2025.

After sunset on the evening on Monday 17 March 2025 the outside of the Library of Birmingham will be lit up green as part of Birmingham’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
