Aston, Newtown and Lozells Area Action Plan

This document sets out how parts of Aston, Newtown, Lozells and Perry Barr / Birchfield could grow and develop over the next 15 years. It identifies areas for housing regeneration, new retail and commercial growth, and a proposal for a major employment area at East Aston – the Regional Investment Site.
The plan was formally adopted by the Council on 3rd July 2012 and now has become a statutory land use plan as part of our Local Development Framework. It will be used when we consider planning proposals and applications for new developments.
The adopted AAP document is below along with a map showing the boundary of the area covered and the formal adoption statement.
