Owing to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the outbreak of the COVID-19 or Corona Virus and the risk presented to licensing staff and members of the trade if the Licensing Office remains open and people continue to attend the office in large numbers, the decision has been taken to close the office until further notice.

Collecting a completed badge or plate

If you have already been advised your licence has been renewed please ring the office on 0121 303 8442 to arrange to collect your badge or plate and associated documents. You will be invited to wait in your car and they will be brought out to you. Please be patient when ringing as lines are exceptionally busy, but if you persevere, you will get through.

If you cannot wait on the phone, please send an email, but be aware we expect a hugely increased volume of email and so it may take time to respond.

Processing times

We cannot predict how many of our staff will be affected by the virus and what resources will be available to us as time goes on. We will endeavour to conduct transactions in a timely fashion, but we cannot guarantee timescales. Please do not keep calling and sending duplicate emails. If you do, you are simply tying up resources which are needed to process applications.

Please do not bang on the doors or windows; you will not be allowed to enter the office and harassment of officers will not be tolerated.
