Lighting the Library for Autism
World Autism Awareness Week
On Saturday 6 April the Library of Birmingham will be lit up in the colours of the National Autistic Society.
World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognised day taking place on 2 April every year. In the week surrounding this day, the public are encouraged to take part in World Autism Awareness Week pioneered by the National Autistic Society (NAS). World Autism Awareness Week aims to draw attention to the 700,000 people living with autism in the UK – both to educate those unaware of the condition, and to help make the world friendlier to those who are affected by it.
