Link2ICT/BCC Transition

As you are aware from the last communications sent on 30th September 2020, Birmingham City Council are in the middle of planning and implementing the transition for the BCC applications used by Schools away from Link2ICT (Entrust) to Birmingham City Council. This change will take place from 1st April 2021. Schools will continue to be supported for the applications detailed below via the Link2ICT (Entrust Education Technologies) Service Desk until 31st March 2021

From 1 April 2021, the applications detailed below will be supported exclusively by Birmingham City Council.

Applications in scope:

  • HR Portal
  • Voyager Portal
  • AVCO Anycomms Plus
  • Finance Reconciliation
  • xPorter

Please note regarding xPorter, BCC will NOT provide installation for schools of Groupcall Xporter product. BCC support is limited to data collection to enable pupil data to be extracted from school MIS system to BCC only. There will be a form on the new Portal to allow you to notify BCC for any changes to your DFE number, MIS System or School Name. This will ensure BCC to collect data to populate BCC’s education application to accurately reflect a School’s on-roll pupils through the School’s Portal, for example for the School admissions process.

BCC ServiceNow Schools Portal:

A newly installed BCC ServiceNow Schools Portal will be available for schools to use, work is currently underway. Further communications will be provided in the coming months. We will provide new website URL, where you can log in and to self-register a new account if required. We will import your user details from Link2ICT. The site will allow you to raise support cases to BCC and view ‘FAQ / Advice & Guidance’ on the transitioned applications.

Next steps:

Regular communications on progress and how schools can access the BCC ServiceNow new portal and log / manage calls from 1st April 2021 will be sent out.

At this stage there is no further action required for Schools, Link2ICT will continue to support Schools for the applications affected until 31 March 2021. Look out for further details and communications which will be regularly shared.
