'Shakespeare versus Birmingham' exhibition at the Library of Birmingham

Reimagining Shakespeare's stories in Birmingham

Image for Everything to EveryonePupils from University of Birmingham School were challenged by Stan's Cafe to re-stage Shakespeare on their doorstep.

Taking inspiration from Shakespeare's plays, they matched their own photographs with some from Birmingham's historic Shakespeare collection.

The result is a series of diptychs that speak to how Shakespeare relates to the lives of young people today.

Free exhibition in the Shakespeare Memorial Room on the 9th floor of the Library of Birmingham.

Dates: 15 February to 4 April 2022

Times:

Monday and Tuesday: 11:00am to 7:00pm

Wednesday to Saturday: 11:00am to 5:00pm
