Car free school streets - expression of interest Car Free School Streets is a pioneering scheme which aims to transform road safety and air quality outside schools where they’re closed to traffic at the start and end of the school day. Schools are initially asked to submit an expression of interest (using this form) which will then be assessed against: Eligibility criteria: to confirm that the school’s location is appropriate, and that any other prerequisites are met. Selection criteria: to assess and rank all eligible schools in terms of both road safety issues and their propensity for sustainable travel.
