Bordesley Green active travel connections scheme

The Bordesley Green active travel connections (ATC) scheme aims to:

• make it easier, safer and more accessible to travel in the area by walking, wheeling and cycling
• create a more attractive and inclusive environment for everyday journeys

In this context, wheeling includes people using wheelchairs, mobility scooters, pushchairs and other wheeled mobility aids.

Consultation and next steps

We consulted the public in spring 2024.

You can view the concept proposals and read a summary of local responses on the Birmingham Be Heard website.

The scheme is now moving into the detailed design stage. This will shape how it looks and works in practice.

We will carry out further consultation after we develop more detailed proposals.
