Testing (COVID-19)
Free testing has come to an end for most people from 1 April 2022
You may still be able to get free tests if you:
- are going into hospital
- are at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19
- work or live in high-risk settings such as the NHS or in social care

Vaccination is the best protection against serious illness from COVID-19.
Whether you need your 1st, 2nd or booster vaccine, it’s not too late. Visit the Birmingham and Solihull NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Service to book your vaccination appointment or find a walk-in vaccination site near you.
COVID-19 symptoms
You should try to stay at home and avoid contact with others if you
- have COVID-19 symptoms such as a high temperature
- don’t feel well enough to go to work of do your normal activities
