During the COVID-19 lockdown many people started cycling more, exploring their local area during their daily permitted exercise. People who were not previously cycling regularly used their bikes on a daily basis.
Through the Emergency Birmingham Transport Plan, we created a number of temporary ‘pop-up’ cycle routes to help people continue to cycle as lockdown eases.
We are now consulting on plans to upgrade some of these routes to permanent cycling infrastructure, and to create one new route:
Have your say on proposals for:
- Bradford Street
- A45 corridor: City centre to Small Heath Park
- A457 corridor: City centre to City Hospital
- Cannon Hill Park to Moseley (new route)
All consultations close on 30 November 2021
