Working from home: how to connect to your home printer
If you are working remotely and need to use a printer, please download our home printer guide.
Please note: if you want to use your home printer wirelessly, you will not be able to connect while accessing the council network using Netmotion.
You will therefore need to disconnect from Netmotion to print wirelessly, as your home wireless printer is not recognised as a council owned asset and is therefore not linked to the council’s network.
If you have a home printer with an ePrint function, you may not need to disconnect from Netmotion. Instead you can set up an ePrint email address and send an email with the document to this address and your printer will print it.
In all cases you must comply with Data Protection requirements when printing sensitive or confidential documents when working from home.
