Early Years provision/childcare

From September all early years and childcare providers should be able to reopen.

All settings have undertaken comprehensive risk assessments in preparation for full reopening (and many have been operating fully since the 1 June).

All settings will communicate with families on an ongoing basis the new measures that they have in place to make provision safe for children.

Any families with concerns should contact their child’s setting in the first instance, or Ofsted if they are not satisfied.

The council is implementing arrangements to ensure the availability of childcare for parents and are checking which providers are open on a weekly basis and updating the childcare register on its website to show only the providers that remain open.

Parents who need support to help find an available place as their usual provider is closed can contact 0121 303 1888, to be put in touch with the Early Years and Childcare Service, who will help them to meet their childcare needs.
