Latest government guidance

The government have announced that they will cease delivering food parcels after 31st July 2020.  This is because anyone who was previously advised to shield are now able to go outside as long as they continue to observe social distancing and follow government advice.

So from 1st August anyone, who had previously shielded are able to:

  • go to work, if they cannot work from home, as long as the business is COVID-safe,
  • allow children who are clinically extremely vulnerable to return to their education settings if they are eligible and in line with their peers and
  • go outside to buy food, to places of worship and for exercise but following strict social distancing.

The government will not be accepting any new registrations after the 17th July.  Anyone that registers before the 17th July will be entitled to ask for a food parcel that will be delivered by 31st July and will now have access to the priority slots.

If you have yet to register for support, you can do so now online via GOV.UK or by calling 0800 028 8327 to access what you need.

Change of address

If you are eligible and have already registered for support but since doing so have moved or are living at a different address to where you initially registered, you will need to re-register on the .gov website noting your new address.
