The main testing hub in Birmingham is:

The site is open for testing 7 days a week, between 8am and 6pm.

From 9 April, the option to collect test kits for testing at home or to get tested on site will be available to everyone.

Testing at other locations in Birmingham

In addition to our main site at the Hippodrome Theatre, there are other locations where you can get tested if you are symptom free.

Testing is free and you don't need to book, you can just turn up.

All sites are open 7 days a week 8.00am to 6.00pm, unless otherwise stated. 

  1. Sheldon Community Centre, Sheldon Heath Road, B26 2RU.  Collection only from 13 April 21. 
  2. Kingstanding Wellbeing Centre, Dulwich Road, B44 0EW
  3. Handsworth Wellbeing Centre, Holly Road, B20 2BY
  4. Shard End Wellbeing Centre, Packington Avenue, B34 7RD 

    Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
    Saturday 9:30am to 2:30pm
    Sunday 9:30am to 12:30pm

  6. Maypole Youth Centre, Idmiston Croft, B14 5BD
  7. Mere Green Community Centre, 30a Mere Green Road, B75 5BT. Collection only from 10 April 21.
  8. Clifton Road Youth Centre, Clifdon Road, Sutton Coldfield, B73 6EB. 
  9. Lighthouse, 100 Alma Way, Aston, B19 2LN. This site will be open for collections only from 13 April 21.

Advanced booking is an option available at Handsworth Wellbeing Centre and Shard End Wellbeing Centre.

Mobile testing units

There are several mobile testing units operating in Birmingham, until the mobile testing service ceases on 13 April.

All units are open 7 days a week, 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm, unless otherwise stated.

  1. The Lighthouse, 100 Alma Way, Aston, B19 2LN. This site will be closed from 8pm on 13 April. 
  2. Cannon Hill Park, Queen's Ride South, Pershore Road, B5 7RL. Open daily 8am to 6pm. This site will be closed from 6pm on 13 April.
  3. York Street Car Park, York Street, B17 0HG. This site will be open from 11 April and will close 8pm on 13 April.
