Rix Wiki pilot scheme

We are piloting the use of wikis across Birmingham with children and young people aged 0-25 years, and their families/carers.

The pilot, which will run for 18 months, is aimed at children and young people and their families who interact with more than one service, across education, health or social care, and feel that being able to share their story with professionals using Rix Wiki would be beneficial. They can do this using a computer, tablet or smartphone.

The wiki helps children, young people and their families to be able to tell and update their story. They can then invite professionals of their choosing to view their wiki. Sharing your wiki with the professionals you and your family deal with saves you from having to repeat things over and over again. The licence holder can add to the wiki as they wish, whilst retaining control over who has access to their story.

Wikis are user friendly, secure and controlled by the young person or their family/carer and are easy to update.  They are private, secure and password protected.

If you would like to find out more about the pilot scheme speak to your Education, Health or Social Care professional or get in touch by emailing, Bhamwikisupport@birmingham.gov.uk

More information about wikis see the rixwiki website.
