Library of Birmingham services

Library of Birmingham opening hours are:

  • Monday and Tuesday, 11am to 7pm
  • Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 5pm

Our telephone enquiry line is open Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm.

The Terraces on Level 3 and Level 7 are open, but the Skyline Level 9 remains closed.

LOB Express service is available on the ground floor:

  • Monday and Tuesday, 9am to 11am and 7pm to 9pm
  • Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 11am and 5pm to 9pm

Computers and Printing

Public computers are available for library members to book. For customer safety and reassurance, all library computers will be regularly cleaned.

Studying

You do not need to book a study space in the Library. A limited number of bookable single study places with a computer will be available.

Exhibitions

The Gallery on Level 3 will be exhibiting from Friday 13 August, “The World in One Place”, the heritage and history of learning together in multicultural Birmingham between the 1960s and 1980s.

Children’s Library (Lower Ground Floor)

During August the Children’s Library will be running story and rhyme time sessions. Numbers are limited so book early. Please see our website for more information.
