Libraries reopening

Library services in Birmingham are reopening in line with national and local government guidance. Safety is our top priority. As library services are expanded, they will be designed and delivered to help ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers. Please be aware that services may be subject to change as local COVID-19 guidance is reviewed and updated.

Library services now available include:

  • Order and collect
  • Book browsing and borrowing
  • Computer access and printing
  • Online services you can access from home or on the move
  • Returning items – items can be returned to libraries open for browsing during their opening hours. If you would like to return an item to a library open for Order and Collect, please check with the library first.

The range of services available through Birmingham libraries will be expanding soon. Please check this website for updates and further information.

Although under review, we are currently not able to offer a service from the following libraries. Please accept our apologies. Further information will be provided as soon as possible.

  • Aston Library
  • Selly Oak Library
  • Sheldon Library
  • Small Heath Library
  • Spring Hill Library
