Libraries reopening

Library of Birmingham

Following the government guidance relating to the second lockdown that was published late on 3 November 2020, we will be moving to our Order and Collect service only from Tuesday 10 November 2020.

Access to browsing books and using computers at the Library of Birmingham will be suspended until after lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Community libraries

Community libraries will be offering an Order and Collect service. Although under review, we are not currently able to offer a service from the following libraries:

  • Aston library
  • Selly Oak library
  • Small Heath library

Please accept our apologies. Further information will be provided as soon as possible.

Library Services at Home

The Library Services at Home will continue to operate their no-contact doorstep delivery service.

Mobile library

The Mobile Library service will continue to offer their Order and Collect mobile library service from outside the library vehicle.

Regular updates will be made on the library section of the website.
