The Eviction Panel
Recognising the rise in demand for expensive temporary accommodation and an increase in rent arrears, The Eviction team saw the importance of working in partnership with colleagues from Income recovery, benefits, homeless service and council tax, to establish the Eviction Panel. Working together, they have managed to keep many people in their accommodation, preventing lives from being disrupted.
Active Parks Team
Active Parks is a key strand of the Council’s Wellbeing Service and the team work with many external partners, networks and citizens to discuss ideas and suggestions of how open spaces in the community can be used. Activities are as far ranging as walks and rambles, Zumba and canoeing; - to gardening, conservation, den building and bush craft. The team are breaking down barriers that prevent people from being active, in a fun way, and improving their lifestyles.
