Children who need adopting

Who are the children?

We need adopters for children of all ages. We are particularly looking for adopters for brothers and sisters, toddlers and young children aged four and older, and children with disabilities.

When looking for adoptive families, we place the child's needs first in our decisions and actions. We therefore prioritise the assessment of adoptive families according to the needs of children we have waiting for adoption.

Currently our greatest need is for:

  • families for children of all ages under 10 years old
  • families who can care for sibling groups (keeping brothers and sisters together)
  • families from diverse ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds
  • families who can deal with health uncertainties in their adoptive child

We are also looking for families who could offer early permanance placements.

Most of the children we place have had difficult upbringings. As a result, many children become confused and angry about what has happened to them. They need an enormous level of commitment, love and attention to help them recover. Their experiences may affect them for a long time, and be revisited at different stages in their lives.

Could you offer a secure and loving home to a child, have you thought about adoption? Come along to one of our information events.

We look forward to hearing from you when you feel ready to take the next step
