A new ICT and digital strategy (2016 to 2021)
The council's ICT and digital strategy will deliver innovative, reliable and flexible systems for the council over the next 5 years.
The strategy will balance the need to make short-term savings alongside strategic long-term investment.
Integrated ICT and digital services
We'll work with our partners to deliver ICT and digital services that are innovative, reliable, flexible, integrated, secure and well managed.
Digital facilitation
We'll make sure Birmingham's people and businesses are fully included in the digital economy and society.
Insight
We'll turn data into information and insight we can use to improve our services.
Commissioning
We'll commission and procure the most suitable ICT and digital technology, giving us flexibility of service, excellent performance and value for money.
Governance
We'll use the latest industry standards, frameworks and methodologies to make sure our ICT and digital programmes and projects are managed effectively.
Innovation
We'll work with others to create an Innovation Lab to inspire and enable our staff and others to rethink our traditional approach to ICT and digital.
