Tell us about a change in circumstances

Parents and carers of children, young people and adults receiving travel assistance from Birmingham City Council must inform the council immediately of any change in circumstances which may affect their entitlement to travel assistance.

People acting on their own behalf who are receiving travel assistance from Birmingham City Council must inform the council immediately of any change in circumstances which may affect their entitlement to travel assistance.

This applies to all forms of travel assistance provided by the council, including travel passes.

Changes in circumstance that may affect entitlement to travel assistance include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • change in school (including a change of campus or school site)
  • change in home address
  • change in personal or family circumstances (such as a change in income)
  • change in a child’s, young person’s or adult’s needs
