Transfer to another council house in Birmingham

Move out of Birmingham

If you are a Birmingham City Council tenant and want to move to another part of the country, you can:

  • apply direct to the council that covers the area you want to move to
  • apply direct to any registered social landlords (housing associations) that have properties in the area
  • swap homes with another social housing tenant, this is called a mutual exchange
