Tenancy breaches

Tenants should adhere to the terms of their tenancy at all times. The council will investigate breaches of tenancy. 

The following issues may constitute a breach of tenancy: 

  • Damage to the property 
  • Dumped rubbish
  • Health and safety concerns 
  • Hoarding and hygiene problems 
  • Illegal mutual exchange 
  • Inappropriate use of garden area 
  • Misuse of communal areas 
  • No access to property 
  • Pets and Animals 
  • Unauthorised alteration to a council property 
  • Unauthorised sub-letting and/or lodgers 
  • Vehicle problems
