BRUM account terms and conditions
When you register for a BRUM account, you agree to:
- keep your username and password secure
- tell us if any of the information we hold about you, or the address at which you pay Council Tax, is incorrect or incomplete
You also agree:
- that any deliberate attempt to gain access to information you are not authorised to see may incur criminal penalties
- to us sending you updates or contacting you about your requests and services
- to us sharing your BRUM account details with other Birmingham City Council systems to complete your request, for example, to verify your identity when you use our Council Tax service
- that may need you to authenticate at a higher level of security to show certain information, for example Council Tax, housing rents, and business rates statements
- that we may close accounts without notice if they breach these terms and conditions
- that we may use your personal data within the rules set out in the Data Protection Act 2018 and the council's privacy statement
- to us using cookies to ensure that we give you the best experience on our website. If you continue without changing your settings, we will assume that you are happy to receive all cookies our websites set
