Childcare for families with no recourse to public funds (NRPF)
Childcare for 2 year olds
If your immigration status means you cannot claim benefits, you may still be able to get funded childcare for your 2 year old.
Your household income after tax must not be more than:
- £26,500 for families outside of London with one child
- £30,600 for families outside of London with 2 or more children
- £34,500 for families within London with one child
- £38,600 for families within London with 2 or more children
You cannot have more than £16,000 in savings or investments.
Let your childcare provider know that you have no recourse to public funds and they can help you with an application for childcare.
You can email earlyeducation@birmingham.gov.uk for support.

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours childcare regardless of your immigration status.
