Time off for school governor duties
School governors have the right to reasonable time off from work for their public duties. Some companies allow paid time off, so check with your employer.
Serving on more than 2 governing bodies
We support the view of the National Governors Association that it is not good practice for a governor to serve on more than 2 governing bodies at any one time, unless there are genuinely exceptional circumstances.
It will not approve your nomination to serve as a Birmingham City Council representative governor if you are currently serving on 2 governing bodies.
