Altering the name or renumbering an existing street

A street may be name may be altered or properties renumbered:

• to accommodate the new properties being built in the street
• if individual properties are difficult to find because they have names and no numbers

To alter a street name, consultation will be carried out with residents and landlords of the street to ensure there is sufficient local support.

Any objections raised must be heard by the Magistrates Court.
