September 2021 Gold Medal Award at the Chelsea Flower Show Baroness Floella’s "Future Generation” display was about changes that can be made to improve the environment

May 2019 Gold Medal Award at the Chelsea Flower Show “Floella's Future” display that recognised the need for action on climate change
May 2018 Gold Medal Award at the Chelsea Flower Show A display that marked 70th anniversary of the arrival of Windrush in Britain
June 2017 The Parks Service was awarded a Platinum and the Geoff Hamilton Award for the Best Exhibit in the Floral Category at Gardeners' World Live. Kings Norton Park and Playing Fields received a Green Flag Award  
May 2017 Gold Medal Award at the Chelsea Flower Show A display that celebrated the work of the Birmingham artist, cartoonist and inventor Rowland Emett OBE
January 2017 The Parks Service was awarded the Wigan Cup for the Best Exhibit shown to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in 2016 by a Local Authority  
October 2016 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom UK Finals  
2016 Gold medal in Champions of Champions Category September  
2016 Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Heart of England in Bloom  
2016 Gold Award in the Large City category and Cannon Hill Park picked up the Mike Garwood Memorial Award  
May 2016 Gold Medal Award at the Chelsea Flower Show A display “ One Small Step” that celebrated the work of local artist Willard Wigan and grass root sport
February 2016 The Parks Service was awarded the Wigan Cup for the Best Exhibit shown to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in 2015 by a Local Authority.  
January 2016 Darren Share, our Head of Parks, was awarded an MBE for services to the environment in Birmingham.  
October 2015 RHS Britain In Bloom 2015: Gold Award and winner in the Large City category.  
July and August 2015 Gold Medal Award at the RHS's Shrewsbury Flower Show and Tatton Flower Show with the "Day of the Dead" display (a dahlia display as celebrated in Mexico).

In the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums awards, the Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park won one silver and two bronze awards.

 
May 2015

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the Parks Service won the Gold Award for its "Three Hundred Years at the Heart" display (a replica display of Birmingham Cathedral) and the Best In Floral Marquee Award.

 
January 2015 The Parks Service was awarded the Wigan Cup for the Best Exhibit shown to the RHS in 2014 by a Local Authority.
