School trips to parks

Our parks and open spaces provide the opportunity for events and activities for schools to help pupils to gain a better understanding of wildlife and the natural environment.

We offer ranger led school trips to parks, or you could opt for a self guided trip. You can also arrange for a ranger to visit your school.

Schools self guided education sessions at a park

You can use any of our parks and green spaces to deliver your own outdoor classroom sessions for your pupils free of charge. However you must let us know when you will be using the park so we can advise you about any conflicting use of the park, offer advice about your visit and record the use of the park for our future planning.

Ranger led education sessions at a park

Sessions take place outdoors and are normally quite active. There’s plenty of walking and hands on activity. We offer a wide variety of activities, all of which can be adapted to your school or group’s needs.

Ranger visits to your school or group

A Park Ranger can come to your school or other location to deliver a session.

Many of the activities we offer can be adapted so they can be carried out at your school grounds.

A half day (two and a half hour) ranger led trip costs £195.

A full day (5 hour) ranger led trip costs £320.

To book self-guided and ranger visits to schools, use the free text box in the new form below to provide us with details.
