Rehousing and development
Compulsory purchase powers are to be used to complete the programme of clearance within the area. Assistance will be provided to achieve the acquisition of the last remaining leaseholder and with regard to their rehousing and relocation requirements, including opportunities presented by the new development.
Existing rights of way are included in the compulsory purchase order, and negotiations on the acquisition of these rights by voluntary means will continue in tandem to the compulsory purchase order.
Birmingham City Council is seeking vacant possession of the site by December 2017.
