Booking an appointment

All appointments are pre-booked. Walk-ins cannot be seen on the same day.

To book an appointment:

  • visit your local library and speak to a member of staff
  • if you cannot visit a library, phone the cost of living helpline on 0121 216 3030

What happens next

Library staff will make a referral to our advice partners.

The cost of living helpline may help you without an appointment. If an appointment is needed, they will make a referral.

Our advice partners receive the referral. They will contact you to discuss your needs and arrange an appointment.

Support not included in these appointments

Partners cannot support you with:

  • applying to join the housing register
  • issues linked to homelessness
  • general housing enquiries, repairs or neighbour disputes
  • requests for the Household Support Fund that are not linked to another issue
