Our partners provide free and confidential face-to-face advice. They can help with:

  • welfare benefits guidance
  • debt advice and managing arrears
  • budgeting support
  • understanding letters or decisions
  • navigating systems and processes

You can get advice about:

  • housing benefit
  • Council Tax support
  • Universal Credit
  • disability and ill health benefits, for example personal independence payment, attendance allowance, disability living allowance and work capability assessments
  • appeals to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) or Birmingham City Council
  • blue badges and concessionary travel passes

Money-related support includes:

  • rent arrears
  • council tax arrears or debt
  • utility bills or grants, for example the Big Difference Scheme
  • charitable grants or discretionary payments
  • debts or letters from creditors
  • managing finances for a new tenancy
