Missed bin collections - Industrial Action

We apologise for the current disruption to collections due to industrial action by Unite the union. Find out the latest on the dispute and which areas we plan to collect bins from this week

Order a replacement bin if yours is damaged or missing

If your wheelie bin, pods, box, or roll of garden waste sacks is damaged or missing you can order a new one.

Charges

If you've had your bin, pod, or roll of sacks for less than 10 working days when you report it as missing, stolen or damaged, we will replace it for free.

If you've had your bin, pod, or roll of sacks for more than 10 working days when you report it as missing, stolen or damaged, there is a £20 charge to replace it. 

Blue or green recycling boxes are always replaced for free.

If you have moved into a previously occupied property a set of bins (1 refuse and 1 recycling) will already have been issued. If there are no bins present you will be required to order replacements at a cost of £20 per bin.

Wheelie bins damaged by crews

If our crews damage your wheelie bin during collections, they will leave a tag on the bin with a unique reference number. The crew will also report the damage to us. We will arrange for a replacement bin to be delivered. There is no need to contact us. 

Collecting your damaged bin

Once you have reported your damaged or missing bin, leave it at the front of your property where it can be easily seen by our crew. They will take away your old bin when they deliver the new one.
