Summer holiday garden explorers
Gardening, nature activities and crafts at Kings Heath Park.
Garden Explorers is a holiday club for children and young people aged 11 to 18 years.
To attend, they must live in Birmingham and have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or receive free school meals.
Activities include:
- gardening activities such as seed sowing and propagation
- nature-based crafts
- outdoor activities and exercise
- learning about wildlife
- activities that support independence and confidence
Sessions take place on:

- 30 July 2026
- 4 August 2026
- 6 August 2026
- 11 August 2026
- 20 August 2026
- 25 August 2026
Eligible children and young people can attend free of charge. A healthy packed lunch is provided.
If spaces are available, siblings and friends can attend for £15 per session.
Garden Explorers is run by Thrive. Advance booking is required.
