The Transition Event Midlands
One day conference and exhibition to help parents/carers, teachers and practitioners supporting disabled young adults navigate the path to adult services, with the aim of securing a successful future.
Moving into adulthood can be a time of great hope and excitement, but it is also frequently met with uncertainty. The Transition Event aims to help answer your questions, offer you access to experts and give you information to take away so you can best support young people with additional needs. The event brings together experts to explore a host of transition topics.
The conference agenda includes:
- Education, Health and Care Plans
- The reality of a move to adult services
- Education options and the future
- Employment and housing options
- Plus lots of interactive workshops to help you delve into the key subjects.
A one-to-one parent zone is set up during the event so you can discuss questions on a more personal level with our experts. There is also a packed exhibition of organisations offering local and national services. These exhibitors are selected to enhance your day and help you to find suitable products and services to meet your specific requirements. The Transition Event aims to meet the needs of young people and those who support them. It attracts delegates from across the midlands to share expertise, find solutions and help support disabled teenagers into adulthood.
Attendees include parents, teachers and practitioners supporting disabled young adults and of course, young adults themselves.
