  • Earlier times – medieval origins
  • From Georgian entrepreneurs to Victorian idealists
  • Understand the Jewellery Quarter
  • Atmospheric canals
  • An artistic side
  • Developing for the future

This walk starts and ends at the Library of Birmingham in Centenary Square. Content is loosely based on the guide book Discovering Birmingham. A copy of the guide book is included in the ticket price (book normally £5 in Library foyer shop). Tours may use an audio system and if so you can bring your own earphones or purchase a new pair for £1 at the start which you keep at the end.

Full details and to book tickets - visit the Positively Birmingham walking tours website. The Discovering Birmingham walking tour guide on Sundays is currently Birmingham photographer and author Jonathan Berg. This 1 3/4 hour walking tour gives a great introduction to the city and is of interest equally to local people and visitors.
